YMCA Dragons Den Challenge

YMCA Dragons Den is an ideas challenge for young people.

We encourage youth to apply for funding for a community project that involves and empowers other young people.

Every YMCA in Australia engages with many young people every day! We have young people on our staff teams, young volunteers and of course many young people participate in the programs, services and facilities run by the Y.

YMCA believes in the power of inspired youth and wants to hear their ideas!

If you're young (between 18 and 30) and have a grand idea that will empower other young people let us know! You could be presenting your idea to the leadership teams of every YMCA in Australia and win 5k to turn your idea into reality!

Your idea can be an activity, an event, a program, a workshop, a set of resources, something digital or something completely different. You tell us. If you need some inspiration download the documents for some suggestions.

The best ideas will get the opportunity to present at the 52nd YMCA National Convention in Adelaide. Every Australian YMCA will be represented and interested to hear your idea. A panel of friendly 'Dragons' will ask you questions about your idea and how you will deliver on it.

The audience will choose the best idea and the winner will receive $5,000 to help deliver the idea.
