YMCA Ballarat currently administers a cluster of 50 kindergartens across regional Victoria. Our team prides themselves on offering a dedicated, personal approach to our staff, families and communities. We specialise in managing kindergartens across the whole spectrum, ranging from centres that operate 2 rooms with over 100 families to small rural kindergartens with only 4 or 5 enrolments.
To develop and provide a high quality developmentally appropriate, educational program for the children for whom the Teacher is directly responsible. This program is to be based on The Kindergarten Philosophy and either the VEYLDF or the EYLF and developed in consultation with the parents of children attending. It also needs to be responsive to the needs of the community, and take into account the National Quality Framework.
The Educational Leader provides leadership whilst inspiring, motivating, affirming, challenging and extending the practice and pedagogy of educators. To contribute to the program development in a range of ways including working directly with the children and providing mentoring, coaching and support to other educators. Assist educators to enhance the quality of outcomes for all children being educated and cared for by the service. To work as a member of a co-operative team of educators in order to deliver a developmentally appropriate educational program.
To operate in a professional manner at all times and to ensure that the kindergarten meets the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulation 2011, the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the policies and procedures of the Y Kindergarten Cluster Management.
