As the Engagement and Diversity Coordinator, you will be critical to the success of the newly established YMCA Centralised Child Safety Unit, ensuring successful reach across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. As an innovative and highly skilled Coordinator, you will: - Provide expertise on leading practice and development research in regard to engaging with children, young people, families and communities - Work within a team to deliver our national child safety strategy and Child Safe standards, with a focus on youth empowerment, self-determination, intersectionality and family engagement - Use evidence to inform national policy and practice across Australia, including regional and remote communities - Lead and influence outcomes for those experiencing intersectional disadvantage, including the LGBTIQA community, people with a disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and people from CALD backgrounds
$90k plus super

Qualifications
With a tertiary degree in Community Health, Education, Youth Services or related fields or equivalent, you will have proven experience in a related role. As a highly skilled leader with a commitment to YMCA values and the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, your skills will also include: • Internal and External Stakeholder Relationship Management • Organisation and time management skills • Coaching and mentoring skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (adults, children and young people) and the ability to influence • Technical expertise in community development, diversity and engagement.
