Meet our Young CEOs who will "take over" their Ys across Australia this Friday, coinciding with our Y proclaimed National Youth Month celebrations and Youth Weeks across the country.
The Young CEO for a Day is a nationwide initiative enabling young people (aged 18 to 30) a chance to be empowered in leadership, and have their voices heard on issues that are important to them. Our Young CEOs "take over" YMCAs Australia-wide every April, coinciding with National Youth Week celebrations. This year the Young CEO Movement was launched by young people, to ensure that Young CEOs engage beyond the one day event. The program reflects the YMCA's purpose, to empower inspired young people to positively impact their communities, as well as intergenerational leadership.
A big shout out to our new Young CEO Movement team - who have taken this initiative to a whole new level - particularly Teri McIntyre, thanks for your great work and Stephanie Ferguson & Patrick O'Meara. Make sure you check out all of the Young CEO's profiles here, and we can't wait to see what happens on Friday!
