From Compliance to Excellence – The Next Step for Y Safeguarding

November 18, 2024 Safeguarding children

The Y is committed to safeguarding children, young and vulnerable people.

In support of this commitment, the Y is calling for experienced providers to provide a new safeguarding assurance program to help drive continuous improvement and excellence in safeguarding at the Y.

The Y recently released a Request For Quote, inviting organisations to submit a proposal to be its future assurance partner for safeguarding. The successful provider will ensure that across the Y we are delivering the highest quality standards to keep children and young people safe.

It’s the next step in the Y’s journey in safeguarding. Y Australia is seeking proposals from qualified providers to deliver an assurance program that:

  • Assesses, monitors, and enhances our safeguarding practices with focus on continuous improvement
  • Promotes a deeply embedded culture of safeguarding.
  • Demonstrates the Y’s unwavering commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people, and vulnerable people.

This partnership is crucial to driving the continuous improvement and effectiveness of our safeguarding efforts, ensuring that we meet and exceed current standards and expectations, with a focus on excellence.

Because we believe in developing community wellbeing, so young people can belong and be safe in their communities.

You can download the full RFQ documentation, outlining submission guidelines and detailed requirements here. You are invited to review the document and submit your proposal by the 9th of December 2024.
