The Y’s “Your Voice = Change” panel solution was held last night, Thursday 27 May, 2021, featuring the Hon. Luke Howarth, MP (Minister for Youth & Employment Services); the Hon. Amanda Rishworth, MP (Shadow Minister Youth & Early Childhood Education); Leigh Johns, OAM (Fair Work Commissioner); Jan Owen (Global Strategist & Co-Founder AdaptabilityQ); Andrew Smith (CEO Education Services Australia) and Melinda Crole (CEO Y Australia), facilitated by Kareem Al-Ansary (former Australian Youth Rep. to the UN).

We had a valuable discussion and interaction with young people around youth employment and the future of work, recognising that we still have work to do to ensure there are no gaps from education to meaningful employment. Career support from employers, education and government are all key parts of ensuring the way forward achieves what is required for young people to thrive.

We want to also give a big shout of our support to all our Victorian Y people who are now enduring their fourth lockdown. Stay strong team. Remember to try and stay engaged with your friends, family, colleagues and loved ones in as many creative ways as you can so that we are only isolated physically for this time.
