Our Governance

Tom Stephenson has been a Director of Y Australia since May 2017 and is Chair of YMCA Australia’s Risk & Finance Committee. Tom has also been involved with Y Brisbane since 2007, having participated in YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament.  He works for KPMG Advisory as an Associate Director, Audit, Assurance & Risk Consulting Senior Consultant, Risk Consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Economics and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Aust & NZ.

Tom has volunteered with the Y and AEC to assist with the delivery of the National Indigenous Youth Parliament and mentored youth indigenous volunteers.

He was also a keynote speaker at the YMCA-175 global gathering in London, celebrating our 175th birthday with around 6,000 young people, in August 2019.
