At our recent 2018 National Convention AGM, we farewelled outgoing National Board Directors Peter Malone, Catherine Follett, Marg Lennon and Catharine Payze.
We also welcomed new Directors, Jonathon Rea, Kendal Moss, Jenny McCombe, Natalie Matulick and Mark Mugaioni. See their profiles below.
Jonathon has Y Association operational and business strategic experience, Association engagement with the Movement and Y Australia, risk management and governance. He has expertise in strategic development for a multi-service group with complex service delivery steams and a proficient understanding of the legislative environment and obligations that our Movement operate under.
Kendal is the Regional Financial Controller at Multiplex, and a Member of Governance Institute. She has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons), University of Birmingham UK, and is currently heavily involved in the analysis of results, forecasting, audits and assessment of the impact of change in accounting standards which is highly relevant.
Jenny is former CEO of Canberra, and a current Life Governor. She has an Order of Australia Medal 2015 for her contribution to the community, particularly through youth organisations. She has a Bachelor of Education. and is a strong advocate for the rights of children, and remains committed to raising the profile of women in leadership roles. Jenny is actively involved in supporting families and young children as a volunteer in parenting programs, and was also appointed to ACT Sport and Recreation Ministers Council as Deputy Chair.
Natalie is a Youth and Education Consultant, with over 20 years experience with Foundation for Young Australians, Mission Australia, Australian Red Cross and the Australian Refugee Association in senior management positions. She has a strong indigenous-programs background having spent five years in NT managing national and NT-based indigenous leadership. (Natalie photographed).
Mark is a qualified lawyer with an extensive backgroundin corporate and M&A law. He also is an experienced corporate strategist with deep experience in multiple industries, and has held a number of senior executive positions in Australia and overseas and is a Fellow of both the AICD and AIM.
